Chapter 3.1 is the third chapter of the Manga series.
Summary[]
Dia Viekone teaches Lugh Tuatha Dé about casting spells and while Lugh can memorize the spells, speaking them is tough at first. Lugh is excited when he makes some copper. Lugh gets an idea and asks Dia to write down the next spell, create iron. She does and he's able to cast it right away. Dia is surprised because most people only cast spells that they receive via divine revelation. Lugh notices how the first two spells are similar. Lugh then realizes if spells made can be that simple, he could make new spells. Dia gets excited.
After dinner, they head to Lugh's room where Lugh notes that he can make any metal he wants by adjusting three numbers in the spell. Dia tries the spell Lugh made and makes silver. Lugh tries another spell and gets tungsten and titanium. When Dia tries the gold making spell, she collapses. Lugh guesses that this is Chant Weaver's ability that's allowing him to make spells. He decides to work around Dia's lack of Chant Weaver, and they begin making spells all night.
That night Lugh learned how spoiled and lonely Dia was for she slept in his bed. Ten days later, Lugh perfects the create rifle spell and the gunfire spell. Dia tries it out and is loving the new magic. Lugh then creates a cannon and uses the spell cannonfire after warning Dia. Dia is surprised by Lugh's use of a cannon and sticks with the rifle.
