Naoise Gephis was one of the supporting characters of the series, and Lugh's classmate, now turned a primary antagonist. He is the son of the duke of Gephis, one of the four dukes. He was jealous of Lugh's achievement of the demon-killing that was considered impossible. After his crushing defeat against Tarte , in search of power at all costs, after seeing his pride destroyed in an instant, decided to submit to Meena in exchange for power, thus becoming her servant.
Appearance[]
He has white-blonde long hair with emerald green eyes though due to the very few (Colored) illustrations of him it is hard to tell.
After getting corrupted by The Snake demon, His hair changed to pale silver and grew length, but for unknown reasons he is able to suppress these changes.
Personality[]
He is quite an ambitious man and is trying to change the kingdom. He craves power.
Naoise has an inferiority complex that drove him into betraying humanity and siding with the snake Demon Meena, He went as far as slaughtering a large number of his own Domains' people just to grant Meena, her wish of becoming the demon king (queen).
He was called a fool by both Lugh and Nevan for always comparing himself to Lugh, Nevan and Epona whom were leagues ahead of him instead of playing to his strengths he instead felt utter worthlessness and eventually let Meena corrupt him.
Background[]
He was the son and heir to the Dukedom of House Gephis and is known as one of the most skilled individuals of the Imperial knights academy.
In volume 2 he and Lugh were at the top of Class S which shows his power, skill and intelligence.
Abilities[]
In volume 2[]
Naoise is shown to have a very high mana capacity as shown during Lugh and His' final entrance exam against the Royal Capital's knights. It has also been shown that He is an immensely skilled swordsman at age 14
In Volume 4-5[]
After succumbing to the Snake Demon's control he had gained a considerable amount of abilities that Lugh mentioned could've rivaled the hero in combat as during the fight with the Lion Demon / Beast God Riogel, He was able to cleave and heavily damage the beast that the combination of Lugh, Nevan, Dia and Tarte struggled with the entire fight and would've been slaughtered if not for his intervention.
It was said that due to naoise being no longer human he had a miasma that always appear around him causing people to eventually think he is no longer human which was proven in volume 7.
in Volume 6[]
it was revealed that Naoise doesn't have the affinity for Wind Magic.
In Volume 7[]
Meena gave Naoise the 3 fake bodies that all came useful in his final fight against Lugh whom the latter was trying to assassinate the Now Lesion to the Alvan kingdom.
Gephis Armor[]
Im volume 7 it was revealed that the armor Naoise used was potentially a divine treasure that the house of gephis used for generations and is debatably indestructible
Black Sword[]
Is a weapon that Naoise used during the fight with Riogel the Lion demon. The sword is strong enough to injure The beast god.the sword was later used in his final fight against Lugh just before his Death.
